Where to buy Champion Race Plugs?! Where can you buy Champion Race plugs? Also, any recommendation as to what heat range to run? Our dyno guy told us (after all day on the dyno) to pull out our Bosch Platinums and replace with Champion Race C57C. I'm reading about them online (the little info there is) and they are talking about 13:1 alcohol cars. We're running a 10.25:1 408 stroker making just over 500 horse and 540lb-ft. AFR 185cc heads, 750cfm Speed Demon (manual seconds), and Edl RPM Air-Gap intake. Any recommendations?? (let the flooding begin......)**) |

I run Autolite race plugs...AR52 to be exact and get them at NAPA for about 1.80 each....they are a Nascar plug with a cut back ground....just have the counter cross reference what you need or go to AFR website and look at their recomendations... |

J P: For the record: The Champion "C" Series is a 14mm .750 reach with a 5/8" hex. The C57C is a regular gap ie: non-extended tip electrode. There are 6 heat range options in this design & size. C53C (cold), C55C, C57C, C59C, C61C to C63C (hot). It appears to be a relatively cold plug. This design by nature lends itself to disapating heat quickly because the tip is not exposed like an extended tip plug. There are trade offs in the various designs. You can call Champion Motor Sports Hotline @ 1-900-786-RACE to assist with choosing the correct plugs. It says $2.00 minute (ouch!). Champion publishes a small pocket sized racing heat range book that is hard to find, but contains a wealth of information. Champions are available from Summit Racing. Good luck.......... Rick |

Hello, Happy to help you from France! I use also Champion race spark plug C57C, there are good (for my 331 engine) and cheap. I buy them to E-Bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2425900218 This seller is serious and shipment is fast. I don't give any recommandation for your engine. You have to proceed to different tests in order to find a good thermal balance. When you will obtain a nice "cream color" you will be closed of the good setting. All the Best Bernard |
