The gear that wore out my cam in 200 miles is the same gear you posted and was installed as per manufacturers specs. You gotta measure. Obviously not all blocks and distributors are made to the same specs. RD |
My MSD dist gear began to show wear after about 1500 miles. I got the engine builder to replace it for me. Just like the Butcher and Cranky, he found MSD's measurements to be suspect. He set it up slightly below MSD's spec. I will remove the distributor at the end of the summer to take a look at it.
