WEBER TUNING
Hi Colt,
Bobby is right, Inglese is THE Weber specialist. You have to contact them to win some time at: Inglese Induction Systems USA 400 South Orchard Street Wallingford, CT 06492 Phone: (203) 265-3617 -- Fax: (203) 265-7414 Toll Free Fax: (888) 266-5359 Email: info@inglese.com Good luck for your project Bernard |
Cool thanks guys.
I have contacted and purchased parts from Inglese in the past, but I think their tech support is something like $150 an hour, and I was hoping there were a few of you out there with 351/289 weber setups that I could compare jetting configurations with. All else fails, there is a shop in Southern California that I used about 9 years ago that is run by a guy who used to work for Weber R&D - he has a dyno and every jet available.. he just keeps changing the jet combination and redynoing the car until he gets the most favorable combination -- which is really the best way to go. My only problem is the setup is running so poorly I would probably have to trailer her down there. |
Colt, are you referring to Pierce Manifolds in LA? I was working with those guys to configure a Weber set up for my Windsor. They seemed to know what they were doing and they were considerably less expensive than Inglese.
|
I've heard of Pierce, but no, this was a tiny shop in LA called "AEM," something like Advanced Engine Machine or something. They almost exclusively worked on VW-race setups, but the guy was a pro with the 48IDAs. Only problem was, his Dyno at the time wasn't big enough for my car, I kept pegging it out when it was tuned right. :) All I have of proof they exist is a chicken scratch of a phone number for them from 8 years ago...

AEM is no longer in business. I used to buy parts from them, too. Lately I have been getting stuff at Pierce - they have a pretty extensive on-line catalog.
