Butler Racing 351W. Where is Datecode?
I purportedly have a Butler Racing 351W in my superformance and the previous owner states that it was built with a 1969 351W block. Where can I find the (casting?) number and what should the codes be to indicate a 1969?
Thanks, -Drew |
Back right of the block under the exhaust manifold.

If you have a 1969 block then the first two characters of the part number will be C9.
"C" stands for the decade, in this case 1960's and the "9" would indicate the year within that decade, in this case 1969. |
