Underhood Clearance SPF 351W

Gooood Morning,

I have a Superformance w/ a 408W under hood. Edelbrock Air-Gap RPM intake (guess I sided w/ torque in the HP vs TQ argument). Is that intake taller than the Vic Jr?

I had tried putting the 3/8" 'paper' gasket/spacer in under the carb and found that my long oval cobra air cleaner was rubbing the hood at the very top. Took it out, put in a regular thin paper gasket and it's fine, now.

I've been reading a lot about people boiling fuel out of their carb on hot shutdowns and hot idles, and while I've yet to have that problem (or realized that it was my problem ever), I do have the concern as this will be my first full summer w/ the car.

Thanks, guys...
