emissions test completed
I got through my 2nd emissions test today and passed 3 out of four categories. My 418 failed the idle HC ppm miserably. The cam is very radical and i am wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to lower my idle HC? I have drilled a 3/32 hole in each of the primary butterflies on my holley 750 DP. Would changing the power valve to a lower number help?

I've heard that increasing the idle speed during the test will help pass.
If your idle vacuum pressure is below that of the power valve rating, you may have a problem. Take an idle reading and install a power valve with a rating of a few inches over that.
