Nitrous would be the cheapest. Most properly rebuilt long blocks can take a 125 hp shot, but you have to refill the bottle. what year long block do you have? I would do the heads, cam, and intake but most aftermarket aluminum heads are in the 1,000.00 to 1500.00 range. good luck

i know where you can pick up a nice used vortec setup for $1,300. No bottles to fill, no switches to hit and it's there all the time, not just a burst here or there.

Steve,
How 'bout making sure it's got good intake and exhaust, and/or shaving the heads?

Turk and Roscoe.....
Steve - what's the current state of the longblock? Is it a 200,000 mile wheezer, or a new SVO shortblock? What's your budget?

There is no cheep way to make H.P. but the reliable way would be a good set of heads and intake system.

cheep is not a good word, cheap would be better. Inexpensive
is the real term for this case. Good luck on what ever route you go.
