The Butcher is building a 408w
In january, I made this post.
Yay! Last week I found out that I will be competing in the 2004 Jeg's Engine Masters Challenge Yay! They asked for a three page application; I sent 20 pages with more charts, graphs and spreadsheets than you can throw a stick at. I'll probably set up a blog and post once a week with updates. 45 of the contestants are like hardcore engine builders and performance shops and 5 of the builders are lads like myself. I'll be using the Dart block...I am trying to decide cleveland mains or widnsor...I'm not sure on the legality. I was torn between the TrickFlow TEA cnc ported High Ports and the AFR 225s. I've decided on the AFRs since they are ported out of the box, and they are also sponsors to the event. I'm aiming for 13:1 on pump gas :D (yes I am the butcher). I'd like to go even a little higher but I'm getting kind of scared of the big boom. The cam will be a tricky secret custom grind that I pulled out of my butt after a bunch of hours on Dyno Sim. Speaking of dynosim, there is also the Virtual Engine Masters this year! If you needed an excuse to buy the software, this is it with $10,000 in prize money on the line. I hope to have some pics and garage stories in the next month or so. :D Andy |
Eh eh eh eh,,,,,,,,, can you dig it? The Butcher is back in a BIG way. Never one to do anything half assed, (unless it has to do with custom cam grinds of course) this engine build is gonna rock!
Keep us posted Andy! Butcher Fan :D |
