Send them to me at my other email
brucete@earthlink.net
Send me one or two at a time so you do not over load my mail box.
Just send me a shot of the front of it and I should be able to tell you what family the block is.

Sent you an email but wanted to follow up here as well. It looks like you have a 460 HD truck block from around 1988-1990.

Hey Bruce, sent you a shot of the valve train if that helps.

I did measure the crank snout, it looks like it is 1 and 3/8" in diameter.

While removing one of the valve covers, it looks like someone had written in marker at one time "7.5 FA".

I would/should/could take this as 7.5 liters, which would be 460ci.

BUT, is there any other big block that would share the same size valve covers? Like maybe a 429ci?

Anyone........

Bruce Edwards 07-05-2004 05:05 PM

Yes the 429 uses the same covers but the number on the heads shows it as a 460. I guess it could be a 429 with 460 heads. Only way to know for sure is to pull the heads and measure the bore.
