Help identifying sbc cam
The cam in my small block I inherited with the engine when I bought it and I am trying to find out its specs. This is all I know:
Purchased in the late 1970's. Engine Dynamics Parts Corp. New Haven MI. Camshaft type 1017. I would like to find out the lift, duration, overlap etc. Thanks for any help Myles |
you can always put a degree wheel on it and find the duration.....then put a dial indicator in the lifter bore to see the lift.....

Yes true, but I was rather hoping that someone might have the info to save me having to pull the top off the engine.

You might want to contact Crane or Edelbrock's customer service dept. Perhaps an old timer in the office might recall the company and give you some leads. You could also contact some old hot rod shops like Blair's in Pasadena or Moon Equipment. Some of these So Cal hot rod shops are an encyclopedia of information. Just my two cents....
