351 windsor year???
Im sure it has been asked and answered many times but I am going to ask again anyway..........
How do you identify the year of a small block ford??? Thanks Guys.. |
Look at the cast number on the side of the block. The letter and the number next to it will give you the year.....
i.e.... D9 = 79 F=90's E=80's D=70's C=60's |
Take the starter off and look up!

The starter is off and the engine is sitting on a stand. What am I looking up at??? Bare in mind up till this cobra project I have never given a ford motor a look. If it was not from mother mopar it might as well been from a different world so I am beginning with the learning process. Aaron |
Look for the cast number on the side of the block.....like I said before....it should have a letter followed by numbers....get those.
