I suspect the noise is coming from your roller rockers.

Motor Noise

Hey;
A sewing machine sounds better than a tractor.:CRY: :JEKYLHYDE **)

lovehamr 01-02-2005 08:25 PM

Dist gear

Hi,
I assume you are running a carb and not EFI.
The roller cam in the engine needs a steel cam gear on your distributor shaft, so you need to make sure it has one or it will get eaten away and destroy you engine. Msd distributors can have a brass gear and is too soft for long use, Ford motorsports sells a gear and any machine shop could install it on the shaft.
Good Luck,
Perry.:cool:

noise

Hi,
Ok, not the gear.
If you have a 5 speed standard trans it could be the throw out bearing whirring around,may be defective and need to be changed.
