Can you run hydro roller lifter with a solid roller cam?

I hear any number of people saying that they can hear when a solid roller lifter is in need of a rebuild/replacement. Maybe I'm going a little deaf, but the supercharger and sidepipe noise in my car means that I can't hear what else is going on with the motor.

I have a custom grind solid roller Comp Cam fitted to my SVO N-351 block. It's not a super radical cam, only that it's ground specifically for my blower setup. Can I keep the camshaft and just fit a specific hydraulic roller lifter in place of the solid rollers?

I know that I'll still have bronze gears to think about, but that'll still be a lot cheaper to replace than getting a new camshaft.

Thanks,

Craig

Craig,
Call the cam company, they would know better than anybody.

I sent them an email last week without reply. The tight-arse in me didn't want to spend the money for an international phone call, but it looks like that's the only option.

Oh well - that's one or two less beers in the drinking fund.....
