Oil pressure guage connection
I have a 302. Currently the tap for the oil guage is on the driver side by the timing cover. I have a mechanical type oil guage with the tubing. I noticed a port on the block back by the firewall, currently plugged with a pipe plug. Does anyone know if I can hook my oil guage into that port for pressure readings. This would dramatically decrease the length of my oil pressure tubing and help to clean up the engine compartment.
No big deal just curious

There is an oil passage there where the plug is, but you would have to tap it for a gauge.

Take the plug out and put the fitting to adapt your guage to.
I have three connections to the rear port, one is the OPG.
