Which one would you prefer in street usage?

only if you have 9 lives
Hi,
A spool is only good for straight line race cars or dirt modified cars. The main problem with a spool is the car will push you straight instead of letting you turn into a corner. Now combine that with a short wheelbase and you'll be off the road before you can blink.

If you never have to turn your steering wheel, a spool is the way to go without a doubt. Otherwise, stick with a detroit locker in a ford 9' and you are good to go. Summit has them for $400.

A spool is great on the launch but will actually give up about 2MPH at the lights to a Posi. Doesn't mean it won't get there first, just won't have the terminal velocity.
