Blum,
I don't have numbers..haven't visited the dyno, but she now breaks loose with a smooth roll on in 2nd gear...something the 4bbl. couldn't do.

From what I've read the increase can be 25% more power. After my test run on Saturday I concur. Mine aren't properly sync'd or 100% tuned yet & same deal. I run in first, shift to second, get about 1/4 way into the throttle then nail it & the tires break loose n the world becomes a blur. Definately couldn't do that before!

webber dyno
I'm having Eric at performance engineering build a 427W stroker with IDF webbers for my new Superformance. I should have some Engine dyno numbers and then some Chassis dyno numbers within about a month. I'm hoping to have the car out on the street before the weather is nice!! I'll try to post some pics and the dyno info after the car is finished. Aron

Will do, and I just can't wait. Eric says the short block will be done this week, and the mainfold and carbs are on the way from Inglesse now. I feel like an expectant parent.

Power Brakes?
Guys,
How are you getting vacuum for the power brakes and the PCV from these manifolds? Or are you running an electrical vacuum pump, or did you convert the SPF's (Chuck/Terry) to manual brakes? Also, what cams are you running in the big stroke windsors? Is a Comp XE284H too much cam in a 408W for the Webers? TIA.

What are power brakes? ;) No vacuum needed in my setup nor am I running a PCV. I didn't have a huge cam to begin with & don't anticipate many problems there.

I ran vaccuum lines on the underside of the manifold to each port. That system takes care of the PCV valve. I am running an electric vaccuum pump from Stainless Steel Brakes Corp (available from Summit or Martel Bros for cheaper).

This is a photo (perspective is off) of Traindriver's set up. Mine is fairly close.
I'm not an expert on cams, but I'm running the original Comp Cam xe262hr-12 for the 2000 FMS 392 engine. Engine is now stroked to 427 and seems to run fine with the webbers.
Good luck!
