Hi all,
I'm considering buying a set of KC's 165's. I understand they buy the heads from AFR as cast and then run their own cnc program on them. The flow numbers (on paper) are almost identical to what AFR is getting at their factory. And it also seems KC is putting a much better valve train on them.

I'm looking for a report on these heads and how they perform compared to buying them direct from AFR. I'm assuming the cnc programs are the same, but maybe not. KC's price is very competitive and I'm wondering if there's a "catch" to all of this ;) The whole thing sounds too good to be true is the performance is there.

KC might have a better handle on MATCHING the valve springs to your selected cam. You should always consider both the cam and the heads (springs) as a 'package'.
