Compression calculator

Don't let the FE guys know we have this....shussss (finger to lips);)
This will not work with FE's as there is no value for "hole in side of block"

Great tool Rick! Thanks!

DAVID GAGNARD 05-03-2007 09:35 AM

Evidently I did something very wrong when I used it, cu in came out right, but compression came out to 20.7............I have around 13.5

I don't have 2 measurements they require, top of piston ring to top of piston and center of main bore to block deck......I left t hose blank, maybe that's where it thru things off..........

Dave: 302 block deck height is 8.20". Piston top to ring is approx .150". This will get you in the ballpark. It is a good tool to have for enginie building reference, as it will show you how variables ( valve pockets, etc) affect actual compression..

Rick;

I figured it out now, I had my +/- backwards on the piston ccs and the piston to top of block measurement, now it's showing 13.28, I'm not exactly sure on my dome piston ccs, so I used 15 ccs.........
