Superformance Daytona Coupe Slave Cylinder
Hey guys i'm trying to find this part to replace my buddies slave cylinder. It's on a Ford Motorsport 392. Here is a photo of the cylinder. I think the number on it says GA02 or NA02 but i couldn't find it on the internet. any ideas?
Thanks, Colin http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...um/slave11.jpg |
I replaced the cylinder on my SPF Cobra (FMS392) last weekend and your's is a little different, but very similar. The part is manufactured by many people and availabel at NAPA, Autozone and others. Dynamic Motor Sports gave me the part number. The replacement part was $30.00.

the one your talking about is the same as on my spf cobra but this one is different. dynamic did not put this car together so it's not the same part. i really need to find this one with these mounting points for the bracket.
thanks |
The replacement clutch slave cylinder for a Superformance Coupe can be obtained from your local Mazda dealer or even a NAPA dealer. The replacement is for an earlier Miata. Note that you might want to be sure that the bleed valve is on top (not on the bottom as shown in your picture) That way you can be sure no air is entrapped in the system when you bleed it! Also check (if this coupe is equipped a six speed) that the actuating rod is not a piece of threaded rod! Contact BRE for the right bracket and rod. Badger

i found the part number. it is a Beck Arnley part number 072-1159 or United part number 37498.
interesting what you say about the threaded rod because this is a 6 spead and has a threaded rod. not sure why you say it should not be threaded. it doesn't really matter other than the threaded rod is adjustable and the non threaded rod is not. is there a specific reason that you think i shouldn't use the threaded rod? thanks |
