Is the mech pump OK when you rev the engine to say 8000 rpm?

You'll still need the pressure regulator?

Hmm... Not sure if there's room for one, though.

yes, the better carter mechanical pumps are ok to 8000 & beyond. You will need a regulator if running Webbers, no regulator otherwise.

I have a Aeroquip on my Kirkham and until I installed rubber isolators it was way too loud. The 1/2" isolators cut the sound in half without anymore vibration. :JEKYLHYDE

Thanks, Zrayr.

Only thing that comes to my mind: I might have put the camshaft sprocket on wtihout the assymetric pump- lifter thing on.... then a bit more work if I decide to put in a mechanical...

Might have to strip the thing down anyways?

I mounted a Walbro GSS340 pump in a baffled area with check doors in the tank. Feeds an Aeromotive by-pass regulator with #8 (1/2") supply and return lines. Quiet as the proverbial church mouse.
