I would suggest getting a spacer instead of expecting RTV and gasket material to hold up over a long duration. I'm sure most auto parts stores will have them. If not call Keith Craft up I'm sure he has some he can send you.

Well it is finally fixed.... Yay... I went crazy with all of the suggestions that were given to me and it is now running great and not leaking..

Thanks all. Here is what I did for those curious.

1. Sanded the top of the engine to make it a bit coarser, same with bottom of the intake.
2. Stippled the intake and the engine block.
3. Cleaned really well with cleaner.
4. Applied Grey RTV down both end seals and let sit 15 minutes.
5. Torqued to spec and let sit overnight.
6. Installed a PCV valve in the left valve cover to create negative pressure in the motor
7. Drove it 100 miles today, not a drop of oil leaked.

Yay.. :D

how did you end up plumbing the pcv into the weber manifold ?

I plumbed the bottom of the intake manifold runners to a central point out the back of the manifold last year for my brake booster. I just put a T and check valve in that hose.. Brakes work good, PCV valve sucks.. :)
