exact functional differences between a 289 and 302 block

If I said I wanted to machine a 302 block but only had a 289 block and drawings for reference could someone tell me the exact functional differenced between the two? I would assume they're probably 95% or higher the same, but where exactly do they differ? Thanks for the input

If your discussing 60's blocks in terms of actual machined surfaces I can only think of one area;
The drilling for oil feed from front cam brg tunnel to distributor spigot- 289 feed goes thru block only with tiny 1/4" plug in front face---302 uses groove in cam thrust plate.

It was not uncommon to find blocks with 302 cast# in valley that had been original equipment in 289 cars from new at time of crossover, have a motor from 67 Aust Ford Falcon in shop at moment that backs that up.

The cylinder walls are about 1/4 inch longer on the 302 blocks to support the longer stroke.

And the really early 289 block have a five bolt bellhousing bolt pattern
