Great Cobra mechanic experience - JBA Performance Center

New owner of Contemporary Cobra 427, and already had my first tow. A beautiful late 60s Dodge Charger pulled up to me at stoplight revving like crazy. I smoked it, but also smoked my clutch. Ooops!

I did a quick online search on my phone for performance Ford in San Diego and came up with JBA Performance Center. They're on 5135 Convoy Street (858) 495-3395. Staff there is super knowledgeable; Travis (front) and Derek (mechanic) took great care of me. I didn't get to meet the legendary J. Biddle, but I did get to check out his Shelby GT500. I would definitely recommend JBA.

PS I went back last week to put it on the dyno. 476 ft-lb torque @ 2900 rpm, 388 rear wheel hp @ 5000 rpm (=mid to high 400s at crank). Next!

I have also had a good experience with them. They did a clutch for me also. Only gripe is that they seem a bit expensive, but then again, I tend to feel that way about almost everything! Also, they referred to my BDR as a 'kit car'!
