Signature size limit?
How about limiting the number of characters allowed in a signature? Some of them, while entertaining to read, are getting a bit lengthy. The long ones are often several times longer than the posts that they accompany!
I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes. I know that many of the long ones are done with tongue-in-cheek. It's just getting to be a bit much. Just a thought. Keith :) |
I agree - seems like a waste of bandwith/server memory - whatever.

If you think that some of the signatures are bad here, you should check out the corvette and viper forums. A lot of those guys have pics in their signatures that are near full screen!!!
It must be painful for those guys to be sooooo cool!;) |
That's a good point. Can we disallow images in signatures also? Links would still be okay, though. :3DSMILE:

Netetiquette says four lines in a sig line including blanks. Some are WAY over.
It's annoying to see someone post.. "I agree" and then have to scroll throught 15 lines of a story in a sig line. |
I Roger that on limiting the signature line.

This thread should be moved to the main forum.

I was hoping to keep it off the main forum for a couple of reasons:
1. It fits the topic for Club Cobra Suggestions 2. I was hoping to avoid a big debate with words like "censorship" and "Nazi". Hence the use of this forum which is far less visited. Keith |
It's not censorship. It's manners.
To burden every one with a story in a sig line is just plain rude. |
