Unique???
Why isn't there a Unique Maufacturers forum?
Thanks Billy |
|
Yes, Tony provided the correct link, and the forum is very active.
I do not know the reason Unique doesn't participate here, because I haven't asked the Weavers, but for whatever reasons, they have chosen a more "low-key" approach to the marketing of their products. |
Both of these forums have some of the most helpful and friendly folks in them. But if you have Unique specific questions and would like some input from the Weavers also, Tony's link is the place to go babrams.

Thank you all.............. I was looking at ERA and B&B........ I had chosen ERA and then saw a Unique car......... WOW. When I came here to see what was on the Forum I noticed they didn't have one. I spoke with Mrs. Weaver - wonderful woman - and I think I will be getting a Unique kit now. I just wish there was a dedicated forum for them. Thank you once again

I could be mistaken, but I think the companies with dedicated forums here either are (or have been) paid advertisers on CC.
The dedicated Unique forum is just one click away if you add it to your favorites list. |
Dorman,
The BF Goodrich banner is a Unique 289 FIA.:D Babrams... Lots of great cars out there... and consider the 289 FIA model in your mix. and I love the Unique. :) |
I just hate the idea of messing with this as the selection has been made, but... have you looked at LoneStar?
Very low key company relative to 1999 when they were the talk of a few magazines. Not a bad car. Manual leaves a lot to be desired. Finished product yeilds a very nice looking car. They have a good looking GT40 they are selling right now for under $40 K. |
Unique good choice.
It is a great choice to go with Unique.
If you want to save a great deal of time and money on your Unique build, then I suggest you check out this link. You could have your Unique done in a day or two and save some $$$$. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/show...threadid=57255 |
Thought it was sold. Did the deal fall through due to importation issues into Canada? If so, too bad...the buyer was a nice guy, and I'm sure, crushed.

NO!! I have not seen the new Lokar add. Any one care to post or link to it?
It has always been my understanding that the Weavers are just not avid Internet users. Although the will post over at the Unique form and if you call them, prepare with a cool drink and a comfortable place to sit because they love to talk! My car was built in 1985 (see my gallery, red white stripes, no rollbar, roadster body) and they hold up very, very well. Do check out Unique580HP car. Great car and deal. The used market is ripe. Plus you have to try pretty hard to mess up a Unique!;) Rick |

Canada's Red Tape
I know Clay it is a huge bummer. Bruce is a great guy and the deal was almost done.
In fact, he should have taken delivery this week. At the last minute they found a snag in getting a Unique into Canada. Apparently Unique has been trying to sell in Canada for a while now with no luck. Even though mine is titled as a 1967 Ford, I guess if the government got wind that it was a Unique replica Cobra they have up to 7 years to repo and impound the car. That is the latest I have heard from Bruce's car broker. I hope that they can still get it somehow. We both have put a lot of time and money into this sale. Until we hear otherwise, Canada won't let it in. So I have no choice but to put it back on the market. I would really like to sell it before winter. I want to build a Mustang Shelby GT350 convertible clone. That way I can use it more as a daily driver. If anyone has experience getting a replica into Canada, please let me know asap. Thanks Scott |
Thanks! When mine was first built it was supposedly used in some sort of add campain but I have yet to find out what. Would be nice to know............ probably!

Billy,
May I note there might not be a specific forum for Unique on Club Cobra right now, but you can post a question any time and there will be plenty of proud Unique builders and owners out here to help answer your questions. BTW: Uniques are a great value. If you put the time and money into body/paint, suspension, wheels/tires and the appropriate engine and transmission configuration, its hard to beat. Good Luck. |
Duane, hopefully he'll find his way to:
www.uniquecobra.com There is no forum here, because the Weavers have chosen not to advertise on CC. That forum has 200 members, and many are active. It's a great reference for all Unique owners, and one usually has a techical answer with a couple of hours. When all else fails, the Weavers always pick up the phone, but we use the forum to try to keep them as unloaded as possible. |
