Thread for new guys looking for advice
Hi. I'm a new guy who knows nothing about Cobras except I want one some day. Yada yada yada yada ........
Threads that begin this way come along all the time. We could save everyone including the new guys a lot of time by having a section called "New guys looking for basic info." After the first half dozen guys post the same thread and get the same answers, it would become a reference point for future new guys. |

Or, they could learn to use the search engine in the system.

That's the way we do it now. The new guy starts a thread. A few kind old heads tell him to use the search engine or give him a link to one of the better old threads. There's nothing wrong with this approach other than it takes up peoples' time that could be used otherwise.

Good idea. Then, we could just tell them to look in the "thread for new guys looking for advice" instead of just telling them to use the search function.:D
