Security Problem with Site
Hello, please check your user profile. Until today I have not looked at my own profile. When I did, look today I found that someone had broken into my profile on this site "Club Cobra" and put a Porn site as my home page.
I did not use a very original password, and have changed it. Has anyone else had this problem? Will this happen again? Iggy |

Your last post was almost 2 years ago...have you been logging on more recently? No one posted under your username while you were away, which is usually what happens if someone got a hold of your credentials. This is not a common occurance on this site. This was my fault, I had a really simple pswd. I never thought about it, but it seems that people run programs or just try to guess using common pswds. At work, you get three attempts and then must have the "moderator= network admin" reset it (I actually wish it was 5). This limits the number of tries per attempt. I don't know if Club Cobra has a similar system since mine was too easy to remember.
I don't think they were sending Emails or posting as me, just trying to get site hits. I should have saved the site, but just deleted the name. Had I published it here in a complaint, they might have succeeded in generating more hits out of curiosity alone. Next time I'll send it to the monitor. Thanks Iggy |
I think we have 5 unsuccessful tries...and then you get a "time-out" for a while that blocks the login
