Wiper arm caps

Anyone know who sells machined caps to place over the wiper arm studs? Or has a good idea on the I.D. for them (for a snug fit)? I'm thinking about going with a "wiper delete" mode on #747 and I think I've actually used my wipers once in 6 years of ownership. They just get in the way and flop around on the wind screen at speed. :D

Thanks,

-Dean

Good link, but I agree. Unless I head on over to the local Walmart, scan the lot for Mustangs, and then start popping off wipers and dialing in my micrometer, this could get tricky. :3DSMILE:

I'm with you Dean....I'd also like to remove my wipers and place a neat fitting cap...I've used my wipers a couple of times, but they're not very effective and I've been told that Rain-X works better than the wipers anyway!

Regards.....Paul

Try http://www.billetspecialties.com and type in wiper stem covers in the search box. They have screw or set screw types and they list the size posts they will fit.

I got some nice chrome plated caps from SoCal several years ago. They have an allen headed set screw so they will not come loose. I'll sell them since my new body doesn't have the holes for the wiper stubs. Let me know if anyone wants a picture of them. I know they are out in the garage somewhere.

The wipers work good. I've been in some pretty serious storms, the wipers performed, and Rain X would not have helped. It's bad enough having no traction, serious water leaks from the roof/side curtains, plus it's humid, and either cold or hot... rain sucks all the way around BUT at least I could half-ass see due to the wipers.

I don't recommend a wiper delete unless you are just driving to Dairy Queen on Sundays....

Try a local Harley shop. Coach bought a chrome cap for his Coupe passenger side wiper.

I bought the small ones from Billet Specialties.

Didn't fit, still to big.

I have never even turned my wipers on. I think they were saying on the news that it had been over 150 days since we last had rain here in San Diego. The wiper delete sounds like a good idea.
