Searching for Superformance Cobra

Hi!

A dream will come true (hopefully) and i am searching for a Superformance.

My first choice would be a Kirkham or CSX but these cars are out of my budget.
So i was driving some other Replicas and two Superformance. After this rides i am sure a Superformance is the choice for me.

So if you have one for sell or know about a car which is for sell please contact me.

My wishlist:

- 1965 titel ( a must to get a registry here)
- Engine: 427 Roush or Keith Craft, or a Ford Bigblock
fuel injection or Webers would be a great plus but not a must (man i love the look!!!)
- Condition: show condition, like new with low milage
- Color: silver, grey, titanium, blue, green....more into classic colors
- budget: around $ 50.000 (should be enough to get a very nice car)

I am open for any advices!

Did you look at my ERA listed in my sig line? Not quite show condition as there are some chips on the paint from driving it, but an excellent buy. Feel free to ask around.

Hi Bill!
Yeah have seen it - it is a great looking car and i am sure ERA is great choice but i am really in a Superformance. But thats only my choice this says nothing about what is better and so on.

Thanks,
Peter

Ok, wish you the best of luck with your search for the perfect Cobra. Sometimes, at least to me, that is half the fun.

There was one on cobra country in Houston. The add indicated it sold in 7 hours but I have seen it pop up on craigslist so the deal may have fallen through. You might want to give the guy a call. It was $49,900 with a Roush polished 427, silver with black stripes. Recent build, I dont think you could find a better deal on a spf at this time if it is available.

I would stick with the roush 427 over the 402 there are enough 427 out there to find what you want and even though the engines are identicle one is a 427. If not I would go with a big block.

There are plenty of nice resale Superformance Cobras for sale in the U.S. You shouldn't have any trouble finding some. It's probably a bigger challenge to figure out which one(s) to get serious about. Some of the best online sites to search for Cobra replicas are:And of course there's always eBay Motors, Kijiji and Craigslist.

I came across a cool site called Ravetrade that allows you to search Kijiji/Craigslist nationwide rather than just locally. Seems to work well.

Thanks for helping and advices! Really great from you.
Was in contact with the one on Cobracountry from Houston and get one word as reply: SOLD...will try to contact him again.
Trackside Autosports have a beautiful one...with a Shelby Aluminium engine and Webers...a shame that it is far away from my budget.

Think too that is a good time to buy....and i am not in a hurry so i should find what i want. (But can not wait till it is in my garage)

I don't really know where you're located but if I was on the west coast with that budget then this I think would be the deal, and car you're looking for:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/1548083061.html

I talked to them last week and it's non negotiable but that car for $40K is simply a steal. Oh, and I am non affiliated with seller in case anyones asking.

ok...next try..have tried to post a message twice but nothing was going thru....

Thanks a lot for your help and advices...really great from you!!!
was contacted the seller from Cobracountry about the Houston car. The reply was one
word: SOLD...will try again..maybe i get two words or more this time.

Sundude, thanks for all the links..most i have known but not ravetrade..works well!!

As i write the 1965 Ford or Shelby or Coba title is a must otherwise i will never get a title here.

I am from Austria at the border to Switzerland and Germany....so the location of the car is not really important to me. Of course Eastside would be better but not really a big difference.

A shame that the one with the Aluminium engine from trackside Autosports is far away from my budget ...wonderful car!!!!

Thanks,
Peter

Actually about 68% of the Superformance Cobras have been titled as 1965's. I have had 9 Superformance cars in the past 6 months and only 1 was not titled as a 1965.

Some states legally title replica Cobras as a 1965. It all depends on what State you live in. It's not legal in California.

In Airzona every one of them is titled as a 65 I would bet (or the vast majority of them) It all depends on the state
