Stainless spf sidepipes

Does anyone out there have stainless sidepipes for an spf that they would consider selling? I looked at new ones but very pricey. If anyone can let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

We're you the guy from Canada that asked the question on the set that sold on eBay? I saw those pipes in person yesterday. The seller got $900 for them. I should have brought cash with me yesterday and I think I could have walked out of there with them for less than that.

Yes that was me,i was watching those pipes for days and lost them at the last second. Were they in good shape like he mentioned?

The one "bump" on the driver's side was very minor and probably could be popped out with heat. They did need a polish from the header flange down to the 4-into-1 merge collector, or if polishing SS isn't your thing they could of been ceramic coated. The inside diameter (I used a pen light) of the mufflers was either 2 1/4" or 2 1/2". Looked a little small to me given the 4" O.D. Overall craftsmanship was quite good. I was a little concerned with the end support straps lining up, but that could have been easily tweaked. I just wasn't willing to pay much more than the original ask (as I was going to have 02 bungs welded in at the collectors and have them ceramic coated), and someone got the set for about 1/2 of what a new one would cost to make.

Yeah I saw that phantom bid pop in and take everyone out with about 5 seconds to go. Someone wanted them really bad.

I have a set of stainless pipes on my car, I like the look they give with a nice set of pse wheels polished as well.

This kit is what I make for SPF's or any other cobra. The only part that's not included is your manufactures 4-hole header flange, because there's too many variables. You'll never go back to mild steel.

NOTICE WHERE THE COLLECTOR AND TURN OUT GO BETWEEN THE MUFFLER AND OUTER MUFFLER SHELL, FOR A NICE CLEAN, TIGHT FIT AND THUS REQUIRING JUST A SMALL TIG WELD.

NO GLASS PACK TO BURN OUT AND NO INSIDE WELDING TABS TO BRAKE LOOSE AND RATTLE.

hey funfer2, those pipes do look very nice, when I had my headers coated I also did the inside of the side pipes as well. The company that did it said it would keep them from turning blue, and he was right, and helps with the heat supposedly.

FUNFER2 02-16-2010 05:01 AM

I agree and really helps out with the life of the headers. The problem with ceramic coating is with the heat, it looses it's luster. My coated headers have dulled but, you can't see much of them anyway, with my big block. If I had a small block, I would make stainless headers. Look at my old pipes & coating. lol
I think that's why my cobra wouldn't start,......:o
