NEW Products From Superformance

I want to start off by saying that I do not work for Superformance nor am I being paid to promote these products. Just sharing interesting information I have learned plus photos of new products offered by Superformance.

As a Superformance owner of course I am proud to do this freely as I know there are many of you out there truly interested in learning about these same things whether you own a Superformance or not.

The new differential offered in the Superformance MKIII is the ZF Differential as shown in the accompanying photos.

Hmmmmm, wonder how it would like the torque of a big block......

Torque of BB

I would also like to know.

+3

How much is it? (can you retro-fit?)

froggyman 03-14-2010 08:35 PM

Can we retrofit?

I don't know for sure but if I think of the way the chassis on my 2 MKIIIs were done looks like very doubtful. Must have major mods if not impossible.

Just fine. The ZF is designed to take serous torque. This same diff is used in Hi-Techs new Perana Z-1 that has the Corvette powertrain and has capacity to spare.

Zf update

JUST GOT THIS UPDATE FROM SUPERFORMANCE:

The new ZF can be fit into the older cars if desired by welding different mounting points to the frame, however, the differences between the 8.8, BTR and ZF are not significant enough to desire a change for anything other than just wanting to, not needing to.

What is the production car these diffs are sourced from? Is it USA or European??

It's a GM/Holden part that's made in Australia.

Here's a link to one on eBay that's for sale in Australia (came out of a sports ute):

I believe that they needed to source another part when the Holden GTO ceased production.
