Paint! I've got Glasurit silver (SPF6XX) and it's impossible to get matching paint.

I've been holding out for a CSX manual.:p

The factory should replace the plastic Wilwood clutch reservoir with a better part. A braided line from the clutch reservoir to the brake master would also be a nice add.

For convenience, it would also be great if the brake reservoir was more readily accessible.

Oh yeah...the CSX manual so Patrick can find his way around his ERA. ;) :)

Yep, Patrick is going to hold that one over our heads forever. Maybe he should start bugging Dean Lampe for a Hurricane manual.

At the risk of excessive abuse... maybe a clock? How about a nice wood drink holder under the center dash? (I'm going to make a wood drink holder and get rich.

Are you a member of SCOF? If so they can address this issue for you.

I think a nice analog clock would have looked great in these cars and have been useful too, although I wouldn't add it now as I am trying to stay as authentic as possible (although most of us make some concessions for convenience/safety, but this isn't one that I'd make).

I know there are mods that can be done after delivery. I was thinking more in terms of what small improvement the factory could make during the build process.

One other thing that came to mind was to replace the nylon oil pressure line with a braided line.

I'd like to see a group of track products developed for SPF. A removable front spoiler, rear diffuser, competition windshield, taller roll bars, fuel tank options, and any other bolt on parts to help on track days. Also, in the same vein a standard lug wheel option (interchangeable) would be nice.

Just my .02 and worth about as much.

Replacement or upgraded Ebrake/Parking brake.

mickmate 04-26-2010 08:11 AM

A reliable one piece throttle pedal assembly that doesn't need repairs that require motor removal. What about putting the rear shock mounts in the right place and welding the darn things to the frame.

I have replaced very restrictive sidepipe mufflers on SPF (and other breeds) also with little noise increase and BIG HP increase.

I agree...less restrictive exhaust

Interesting - I am still working on my CSX, and just got the 428 fired up.

-- runs great.

Sending my Dashboard to Kirkham for roadsterification.

WardL 04-27-2010 10:32 PM

How about a left hand classic rear view mirror that actually works? I know I can look over my shoulder, but you really need to see what is going on without looking back. Such a mirror should be original install....
