Dwight, I just changed the oil 2 weeks ago. I'm going to change it again. I didn't really notice any glitter or shavings when I changed it. I guess they were so small I didn't notice them. I'll post a pic of the brass gear tomorrow! Mark

Generally with rare exception, the shavings from the brass gear are more like powder and are caught in the filter without damaging the bearings.
