Hersh, I second that opinion, a) its a Cobra and b) its a Superformance, going rate on Superformances rollers is $42,900 and then you get to add the extras, side pipes, stripes and whatever else rings your chimes and by the time you are finished you can be close to 50 grand. Yep, if I could have bought the lime green car a year ago I would have jumped at the chance. I guess what I am missing here folks is everyone is entitled to their opinion and thats for sure, but to trash a car for its color seems a little over the top. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and while I think the car has a loud color, first I see a Superformance MK111 Cobra, now that is a thing of beauty as are all the other Cobra makes. The old adage, "there's a butt for every seat" holds true. :) Maybe all of the talk gave the guy some extra visibility.
From Cobra Country:
"21 August 2010: Mark both of my Superformance Cobras [SPO#2686 and SPO#2727] SOLD! Barely two weeks on your site and each one has a new owner! Andy Narraway"

Good for Andy. I hope those cars stay green.
I welcome the new owners here if they choose to join. It would be good to see what they do to finish up those two Cobras.

Seems you guys are slightly over the top on trashing the color, whereas bottom line its a Cobra and at a fine price. My two cents. tin-man

I stated what color it is, I didn't trash it. Quote some else that did. To each there own. I know who painted them that color and why!!

There ain't a damn thing wrong with the color of that car if it's what you like. Unless that Cobra has a serious defect then It will sell to someone like me who happens to like those type colors. Loud yellow with black stripes and nobody says diddly about that .
Sometimes I just don't understand this site. We all want to be different but there is always that faction of folks that is afraid to be so different that they may fall outside of the groups acceptable range. God forbid that happens. They might point and say derogatory things about my car. Oh the humanity..

Here Here Hersh, I am with you, never be afraid to be different.
My cars current color (still in tinted primer) is fairly odd for a Cobra, but the final color is to be the bright yellow you mention.

Scooter, wow, too much sensitivity here, I did not mention you specifically, I said "you guys". Let's face it the color was loud, but it was a Cobra none the less and that was my entire point, color notwithstanding. tin-man

I absolutely love the color of this car. I'm weird with colors though. I can't stand red. I like the guardsman blue ok enough but there are so many. I prefer green or yellow.
I'm in the market for a replica but unfortunately Superformance is out of my price range.

Appologies Scooter, I can see now how you thought I was refering to you since I used your post as a quote when referencing people trashing the color when in fact you did no such thing. If you are ever in Phoenix look me up and I will buy you your drink of choice. tin-man:o

Boxhead,
I like different. I like seeing Cobras other than Viking blue and Guardsman red. Those are great colors but there are a lot of them.
Scooter, nothing aimed at you buddy. I got what you said. I just think it's wrong to call a fellow cobra lover a chump just cause he likes a certain color. If
I don't like a color or anything about a fellow enthusiast Cobra then I keep my mouth shut. It ain't hard to do. Think what you will, but you don't have to trash his dream.
Great Asp, (love that handle) No harm in saying you don't personally care for the color. Believe me I see plenty of colors on Cobras I don't care for but I'm happy for the folks that did it their way. That's why there is 31 flavors at Baskin Robbins ice cream. something for everybody.:D
I have a friend who is a hot rodder and he is color blind. He can see only one color and that is Hi Vis Yellow. Yep, he painted his 37 Chevy Rod that color. This was 30 yrs ago. Everybody new Rich because of the color he chose. It's not always about what you like. Sometimes it's the only choice you have.:)

It is peculiar what we hold as fashionable. I don't like the green. I don't know why. It's a perfectly good color.
But look at what we considered fashionable in the 70's. How could we have run around looking like that?
