Superformance side pipes - solution for less noise level?

Hi!
Due the registry progress i have a lot of problems with the exhaust noise level. It should be around 95 - 100dbA and with the stock exhaust i am at 115dbA.
Does someone know where i can buy a pair of exhaust pipes which were less loud but were i will give up not to much HP's?

Thanks for help

Peter

PS: was searching but i only found the advice to drive with earplugs...maybe i should buy tons of earplugs for all the officers around.

We have no problems with the cops down here! Except for them wanting a ride in it! Mark

What HP do you think you have?

Dough, thanks for the link! Will try to contact one of the companys...maybe they can do some quiter pipes for me.

Mark, most cops here are happy when they see a car like this - but you only need one which does not like it and you have more problems then you can imagine - a ticket is the smallest problem then.

mickmate - the engine has 543HP at the flywheel, at the mustang dynamometer it has 450 at the rearwheels. The curves are in my gallery.

Thanks,
Peter

Looks like a 3" is the muffler for your HP

You could run ones with 2.5" cores & they won't kill your engine, but you are def in the 3" flowpath size requirement! 2.5's with packing will control noise better than the 3" Cobrapacks. Keep in mind, a LOT of high HP Cobras are running around through the "stock" mufflers which have under a 2" flowpath! ABSURD!

Hi Eric!

Are the 2,5 packed really a lot quiter then the stock Superformance?
Do you sell complete sidepipes too?
Mine is runing on stock mufflers and the old Superformance headers which have a small port (to small for the heads) But it can not be so bad because the engine have 542 at the flywheel and 450 at the rear wheels. Of course there are allways possibilitys to get more hp...but i am not sure if it really makes a difference if you have 20hp more.

Peter
