Clutch slave settup for 351W
My SPF cobra is on its way and I'm preping the engine, etc. The engine is a 351W based aluminum DART block. It will have a T56 Magnum with QuickTime bell. I understand that the pivot is on the passenger side and will require either a puller slave from the engine side or a pusher slave from the tranny side. Do any of you have any recommendations for the slave and bracket settup that works best?
Also - any recommendations for the starter motor? Any info is appreciated. |
Matt, I also carry a few different brands of starters. I like the CVR gear drive starters. They will pivot along their axis so that you can mount them in a way that gains the most clearance for the connections. They have a 4:1 drive so they will start any engine. They're just under $200.

T-56 Slave cylinder
I have built several brackets for transmissions, but I really like to use the HTB with the 6 spd trans. I only use tilton HTB's.
