I'll have you know that it takes a touch of skill to do donuts that look like smiley faces. That would be my defense if caught in the act.

I have 2,335.6 miles on my FFR KC 408w. One and one time only have I WOT in 1st & 2d.....and this was when I had a full tank of gas..my passenger weigh in at 290 lbs..and the 315's hook up. I have a badge on my dash that reads "Remember respect me or I'll Kill you"...I touch/read this badge every time I jump in.

Voyager, glad you were able to find out exactly how nasty that Cobra could be in a place where no one could get hurt. As others before me have said, these beasts deserve to be treated with respect, 'cuz they can bite! Which is part of their appeal, too. Enjoy it, and keep the shiny side up.

This is a forum for car guys to talk about car stuff. Car guys go fast make lots of noise and do burnouts. If you can honestly say you have never broken the speed limit by a wide margin with your car then I will call BS. People buy these cars beacuse they are fast and dangerous, not to get groceries. He came on here to share a story not get lectured to like a school boy.

When you figure how much we all pay for School Taxes................LOL
Big parking lots are a great safe place to get a feel for your car. What gets learned in a parking lot could save your @ss sometime, and maybe someone elses, too.

Santa Anita Race Track parking lot. No horse racing going on. Acres and acres of asphalt! Gate was open and couldn't resist. Got some good seat time and hot laps until security finally shut me down and chased me out. I had apparantly collected quite a crowd of grounds workers and maintenance folks as spectators.

Reading this thread with interest. Was not mentioned if it was a grade, middle or high school. Grade or middle school might not matter as much but if it was a high school then it matters more. High schoolers pulling into the parking lot and seeing tire marks from high speed cornering might intice them to do the same. The outcome might not be desireable.

Of course, this all depends on how long before the school opens and if there were tire marks still there at that time.

JMO,

The school is not open yet. It is scheduled to open next fall. The jet black asphalt parking lot will eventually be the school bus parking lot. Seriously doubt any signs of rubber will exists by next year.

However, if the grey-haired old lady that drives bus # 6 suddenly gets the urge to peel out next year, I will begin to worry.

You could have just said you were looking for the mall parking and got lost.
They do leave that lot wide open every now and then don't they?

ItBites 11-15-2010 11:57 AM

Wow. Why have one of these cars if you never speed, never make too much noise, never slip a tire? How about less holier-than-though, or turn in your man-card... and get a prius.

There will probably be more tire marks from old #6 then any other bus or car:eek:.

If I was the owner of the parking lot, I'd hang you from the highest tree until you made restitution. Perspective?? It's is vandalism, defacing private property. As I stated , I would probably have done the same thing had I had the chance. I offered up a suggestion that possibly what was done was illegal. Trespassing is a crime, vandalism is a crime, defacing private or public property is a crime.

I rest my point! " If I was the owner of the parking lot, I'd hang you from the highest tree until you made restitution" ARE YOU JOKING! Restitution? for what ...rubber on my pavement ..OMG. CRIME NEVER PAYS! ...lets all remember that next time you cut those tires loose. What a laugh!

HAHAH Excalibur....Look at all the damage that you are doing to that asphalt. Restitution I say !
OR just do it over the whole parking lot and it will be freshly topcoated and they will owe YOU money!

Hey genius. How about putting it in terms that maybe even you can understand? It was private property, lets say similar to your car. Somebody comes by and innocently , marks all over your car with a marking pen. Maybe worse a permanent marker. They didn't hurt the car really, they just changed the look of the paint job. No harm right? Same thing with a parking lot. Eventually it will probably wear off but that's not the point. The point is that it doesn't look like the job that the School District paid for. Got it? I didn't use any words that were to big for you to understand or a scenario that was too difficult for you to follow?

I submit that if someone would pay the same price, if purchasing the property, right after the skid marks were applied, then there was no loss of value, and hence, no damages at all. What purchaser is going to say "Ahh, with those skid marks in the parking lot my purchase offer is now $10k less."
