Stainless steel sisepipes

What happened to your old sidepipes (Superformance)? I might want to buy them from you. Thanks for your response.

FrankM1 09-18-2011 06:25 PM

I have a pair, how much would you pay?

dmila24 09-19-2011 08:14 PM

I don't know. What shape are they in? Are they steel and ceramic coated? Any idea what shipping would cost to the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area? Let me know what you want for them. I am interested.

FrankM1 09-20-2011 03:18 PM

They are new, ceramic coated and were taken off the car at around 900 miles.
They are already packed in a wooden box, get me your zip code and I'll check what would be the freight cost.

dmila24 09-20-2011 03:30 PM

My zip code is 76051. Thanks.

Do the stainles pipes go blue when they get hot , or is that the chromed pipes that do that

I would like the SS pipes but I am not fond of the blue color

Hotfingrs 10-01-2011 11:52 AM

I've got polished stainless pipes and they do turn blue. Go to a motorcycle shop and get some cleaner that takes the blue out. I like the looks, but they do take more upkeep.

CJ428CJ 10-01-2011 06:49 PM

I have SS sidepipes and mine don't turn blue. They do, however, turn a bronze hue. You can polish the bronze color back out but it returns as soon as the pipes get hot again.
