Hi Ron
I`m very impressed at the way you are putting your car together.Congrats, it`s always pleasing to see the owners finishing with the correct period look.By the way you are able to lay your screen back as per your Bill Stowe picture. The body is slotted and the s/s cover is much bigger so even when your screen is laid back the slot is covered. Re the long range tank I think just a dummy fit is better as I`m scared the extra fuel weight will effect the handling and even cause bottoming out as the spring might not be up to it.The standard tank holds enough to get you around. Enjoy your car and thank you for choosing the superformance mk2. Ross |
Ross,
Thanks for making it happen. Once the car is finished I need to catch up with you on the tank and bull bar. Best, Ron |

Nice car Ron , it looks like in the photo's of your car that the rear quick jacks are larger than the front ones, only asking because I just purchased a set from finishline and thats how they are, so I wanted to find out if that is normal .
Nick |
The front are 160mm long and the rears are 195mm long

absolutely stunning Ron , Many congrats on putting together what is quite simply one of the nicest 289's on the road. Is there anything out there to touch it?
