Suspension uograded???

I just purchased a used SPF MKIII and I have some questions for the veterans of this forum:

1) The previous owner made a note that it had upgraded "Carrara Sway Bars ans suspension". I attached a picture below of the sway bars hoping someone could tell me about these. I noticed they have plastic like bushings with what looks like a grease fitting (that has been broken off 3 out of four bushings).

Even though they are "upgrades", do you think it is worth $800 to upgrade the sway bars from Cobra Valley? Or maybe just replace the bushings and add the stepped mounting plate (to get rid of unwanted sway bar vertical movement)? I really don't see how these are upgraded in any way from the stock look sway bars. There is no adjustability. Maybe stiffer/stronger???

2) You can also see in the background some fluid on the floor. It is coming form the transmission. Probably need to replace the gasket?

That might be "Carrera" Coil-overs on the shocks and the Cobra valley sway bars. Take a few photos at the end connections of the swaybars and the connst to the suspension. That will be an easier way to identify what you have. What was you chassis number? You could just contact him to find out if the previous owner purchased a set too. no big deal to replace the grease fittings. Were the fronts and rears done? Photos will help.

The ends look stock, not like the Cobra Valley ones, which are vertical on the ends.

Congrats on the SPF!

Determine whether the fluid is from engine oil or gearbox oil.

A rear seal leak could be the cause. My motor had some oil galley plugs that were leaking, that blew oil back on the bell housing. I also had a spedometer cable that leaked gearbox fluid.

Some of these leaks are a pain to chase back to the root cause.

It is a red color, so that would be trans oil, right?

From the sway bar end photo, it look like the stock bar painted red for some reason.

It could be the first gen upgrade that RT offered from Cobra Valley, which was swapping for urethane bushings and someone tapped them for grease fittings. It could also be an upgraded sway bar, too. I would measure the diameter and give RT a call. The 2nd gen sway bars with the end rod links really wake up the suspension and make it more responsive.
