Thinking of changing out my SPF ball joints for cobra valleys Geometric correction ball joints any input thank you. Livnn

I did mine last winter and the job went very well. The Cobra steers easier and the vibration is gone. You need to get the available tools for removal from CV as well. After that it would be a good time to set the road height and find a alighnment shop that can do a road force balance for you...Good luck

Do it. Once you pull out the factory ball joints only then you'll realize why you didn't do it sooner. They will be stiff as a rock and you'll have to beat on them in a vise to get them to move.

I went with the Ultra-Smooth version. They mostly (but not totally) eliminated some front shaking I was getting around 60 - 65 mph. They also eliminated some significant bump steer. Steering force seems about the same as with the factory joints (my car only has ~1700 miles on it). Haven't pushed the car hard enough to tell the effect on handling.

+1 on the Cobra Valley joints. The stockers are J.U.N.K.
Easier steering, no vibration, and just about eliminated bump steer. Buy or borrow the tool to remove/install...makes it a very easy job. The hardest part was getting the new castle nuts tightened down to spec without twisting...just be careful with that, and know that you might need thicker washers (or stack them) to get the taper to engage. You may need to re-adjust ride height as well. One of the best things I've done to #408 was replace those crappy ball joints. |

.. Looks like I am in need of balljoints as well. The shake in the wheel when I get up to speed. I did think I had a bad rim.. but with the new wheels and tires it is more pronounced. Anyone else? This appears to be the answer: Cobra Valley's R/T Super High Performance Ball Joints |
Do you know if these will fit a Shell Valley Cobra? Visually they look like they will.

I agree that Road Force balancing should be the first step. It must be done by someone knowledgeable with the machine and willing to take the time to get it right.

Ball Joints
