Superformance Owners Reunion
I just got a newsletter that announced plans for a 20th anniversary SPF owners reunion in July, 2013.
Since my car (023) was the one that sorta started it all in in the USA in 1992, it would be great to be a part of the event. I would love the opportunity to show the car, and I think others would enjoy seeing what their cars evolved from. Unfortunately it's a long way from my home in NH out to the Denver area. Driving 023 that far is not feasible, and I just got a shipping quote that was out of my league...especially when doubling it so I can get the car back! I realize it's really early, but if any other New England SPF owners are thinking about going, perhaps we could see if it would spread the cost if we ship cars together? Other ideas? Bill |

Dan, I get an occasional newsletter from Irvine...I think I probably signed up for it on the SPF website.
At any rate, here's the link to the reunion info. Superformance Owners Association - SUPERFEST 2013 Still much to be nailed down, so I probably jumped the gun...but I got excited because of the 20 year anniversary thing and my car's unique role as the first Superformance that came to the states. I'm hoping to go too. I'll likely trailer mine from Chicago and back. Would love to see some of the early SPFs as well as the later ones, just to see if I can spot differences. Plus the chance to drive out in Colorado.

Any cars from the Northeast going to transport? I am looking into making this and maybe we can get some cars and book a transport together.

Rgnbull, I was told that the organizers will be making arrangements with transporters in different regions, so we might want to hang on for a bit until the registration package is available. If that doesn't work out, then I'm your Huckleberry.

74 Cars registered with 148 participants. This should be a once in a lifetime party. I have been to the area and the cruises and events planned will be extraordinary. If you take only one long trip in or with your Superformance Cobra this should be it. Looking forward to meeting other owners from all over the country. Check out the web sight. Mudhen, wow what a cool name Bill, I just got back on to CC after being away for a long time.
It was such a great time to meet you and Dennis and all the rest of the folks who ventured out to Colorado for the Superfest. Having the cars shipped out there was good, but we just bought a tow vehicle in case we want to go that far again. Take care, Larry and Kathy Coupe 57 |
