SPF Trim Questions

I've got a couple of issues with my new-to-me 2010 Mk. III that I'm hoping that you can help me with.

I removed the driver's side quick lift to install a registration plate bracket. I expected some sort of backer on the inside the fender but it appears that things are held in place with a pair of substantial machine bolts that the quick lift attaches to via a pair of acorn nuts. Unfortunately, the bolts are turning and I don't see much by way of access. Anyone found a way to tighten these two bolts without an impact wrench? Anyone know how to get to these bolt heads?

Finally, the driver's door latch needs adjustment and I'm wondering what my options are? Anyone else been through this?

Reach up into the fender area with a short wrench or socket. There is a nut on the thread rod in there.

I don't have a lift but I'll come up with something now that you've confirmed that they are accessible. From what I could see it appeared that they may have been covered by the flange on one of the two ducts that straddle those bolt heads. I have a good mental image of the area now and I think that the tool called for is a ratchet with a universal extension. Thanks!

If you send me your email address offline, I will send you a photo with the bolts identified that you need to access. My contact info is below.
