MK II slabside on the way..

I have a MK II slabside inbound, and will install a FR 302 & TKO 600 when it arrives. Does the rear lug on the Tremec need to be trimmed off like the MK III cars?

Thanks!

Congats, Don't know about the trans, but I have the Wiring Diagrams for the MKII 289 Slabside and FIA available.

I don't know about the trans either but very cool on your purchase!

PM your email and I will put you in touch with someone who has done a couple of installs for us and has details.

Thanks, guys. Looking forward to the new project. Larry, I'm in Tucson as well.

How much for the wiring diagram for a MK II D?

Armrer
no trimming required with TKO,but the the mountings do sometimes. Don't use a lakewood bellhousing or an 11inch flywheel. Creates too many unnecessary hassles.
Are you installing yourself? You are more than welcome to e mail me direct and I wll gladly assist where I can. Hope you enjoy your little beauty.Congrats on your choice.

Hey Ross,

I am doing the install myself. I'm using 10.5" FR steel flywheel, Tremec aluminum bell. You mention the engine mounts may be a problem? I have 289 Cobra motor mounts from Cobra Restorers, '65 Mustang trans mount as well. Are there any issues with factory SPF header fit? Thanks for the help offer!

Larry,

Thanks, will do soon.

Blas,

Will do, as soon as I figure that out : ) It's pretty. Wimbleton white, black leather interior. Chrome wires with 205/70-15 Firestone FR's with thin whitewalls. Looking for a fun driver, my '06 GT is taking off in price, and scared to drive it now : O

Thanks, Guys!

Great purchase

Armrer,

You have made such a wise purchase, with this MK2 Slabside being so close to the originals in the way the frame and suspension is set up. You will not regret the purchase, best product of its kind in the market, hands down.

This would be my dream car if I ever buy a third Superformance.

Hi Juan,

Thanks for the kind assessment : ) I did my research, and was pleased with the SPF overall accuracy and build quality. Hillbank was very helpful too. Car should arrive in Tucson around the 12th of this month, motor is waiting ..

Pics as it happens..

My dream car, too, if I could ever afford a second SPF.

Jeff and Randy at Pro Motorsports were such good guys and such a big help on my Colorado adventure that I promised them I'd order one from them...as soon as I win the Lotto :-)

Would pick it up if not for the nasty weather we have been getting! Getting antsy waiting for the thaw/ clear roads!

The SPF is really high quality! Having seen it in person, I can tell you it has really set the bar high for a replica.
