You gotta love this thread. The SCOF site's info and it's secrecy frequently comes up on this forum for discussion. It's been a while since the last discussion. I bet if I searched for the last discussion, Patrick likely said the exact same thing then too.

Ultimately who gives a......... You can get answers here for nearly everything anyway. Or you can just ask Chas and save yourself some time. :)

Let's keep it on topic, I'm not promoting secrecy on my site. Just a place for SPF owners to hang out.

Just passing this along , but I am letting #086 go.listing it at 34,000. She's been a great car for 14 yrs, but time to focus in my twin girls and paying the house down . I just spoke with Dennis Olthoff and he agrees with the value of 086.. He's done all the upgrades and work.

Buddyg,

For some reason your SPF forum doesn't like me. Keeps telling me to enter the activation code, but it won't send me one. Maybe you can tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks,

Ted

Ya, but it doesn't let me log on. Just keeps asking for an authentication code. It seems to recognize me, but won't let me do anything on the forum.

I tried, but it still recognizes my e-mail address, so it just puts me into the same endless circle. I appreciate you trying to resolve this, but I'm not a real patient guy, so I think I'm done.

Thanks anyway,

Ted

I'm waiting for an answer from proboards we will get it figured out.

buddyg 03-28-2014 02:06 PM

This was the reply don't know if it helps

Hi :)

The authenication code should have been emailed to him. Unfortunately, his email provider may have blocked the email as spam. If he hasn't already, ask him to check his spam folder. If it is not there, as him to try adding noreply@proboards.com to his address book, and request the code get resent. If neither of these help, does he have an alternate email address he could try?

I tried again Buddy!!! No luck!

buddyg 03-31-2014 02:08 PM

We are gaining some traction with the new forum but need the members to be active to be successful. If you haven't stopped by in a while check in and let us know how your doing.

If you haven't joined yet what are you waiting for?

I'd love for more pictures from the various owners, so get busy! LOL

Well Buddy, I decided I'd try one more time to log on to your forum. Unfortunately I just wasted another 15 minutes of my life in frustration trying to get logged on. It still wants me to use an activation code which is keeps telling me that it has e-mailed to me, but it hasn't. Not in my in box, junk mail or spam mail.

"Gaining traction?"

Gaining traction? It looks like a graveyard over there!!!

Seems just a little tacky to use this forum, to promote your forum IMHO. :JEKYLHYDE

I'm not trying to move members from here to there, just another place for SPF owners to hang. FFR has their own place so I thought SPF owners should too. I come to this forum everyday. But thanks for your opinion.

Sorry about that not sure why this happening, I've had 80 plus people join with no issues just you and TN Shelby. I'll send a help ticket to the forum and see if they can figure it out.

This is the reply from the support board most likely your email provider is rejecting the email.

Sometimes when members do not successfully receive e-mails it's due to the spam settings of their particular e-mail provider, which can sometimes delete or reject e-mails without even showing them to the account holder. I'm not sure what e-mail service the member in question uses, but you can recommend that they look for a "contacts" or "address book" section and add noreply@proboards.com to it, so the system knows to allow messages from us.

Buddy,

I tried adding the e-mail address to my contacts as they suggested, but it still doesn't work. Guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to live my life without the SPF forum  Thanks for trying.

Ted
