Cracked Windshield

Glass or Polyglass replacement? I would appreciate your input on the replacement options.

I have a Superformance Cobra 13xx. I am not sure if this makes a difference.

Thank you in advance.

I have heard nothing but good things about the PolyGlass replacement windshield from Cobra Valley. Check it out.

Jamie:
if you are not using glass(safety glass DOT approved) you might have a problem at inspection time in your State. Do you mean polyglass as the plastic polymer aka plexiglass?

Basque1,

The cracked windshield is a glass Superformance stamped DOT approved windshield. The question asked was to replace with a similar glass windshield or the Cobra Valley Polyglass windshield. Does anyone know if the CV PG windshield is DOT approved?

Thanks,
Jamie

In PA. - Polyglass is not approved.

In some states this is an issue - if there is any sort of inspection in your state the car would probably fail on a technical.

Windshields are available and can be put in by a glass shop who is talented in OLD cars ( British and Itallian ) .

check this guy out. I bought one from him a couple of years ago. There are at least two different windshields available.

Make sure you buy the one that fits your frame.
