Trunk Luggage rack?
I'm planning to do the Route 66 trip this year and plan a 14 days with a swing by the Grand Canyon on the way. I'm thinking of a temporary or removable trunk rack. I'm not bringing a spare, just 4 cans of instant spare (cans) to have room in the back to bring my soft top. I can't seem to find local USA racks that would fit the 31" width of the lid. I found a UK one called the Pecten but it's pretty expensive. Maybe someone has a recommendation?

I'd buy one of these for $29 and fix the side adjusters down so they take up an additional couple of inches. I don't think that would be tough... and you're only risking $29 anyway.
