No fuel pump switch on dash

My SPF #884 does not have a fuel pump switch on the dash like some others do.
I read that it's the switch between the speedo & tach but my switch in that location controls my cooling fan.
Any idea why this is?
thanks
Dan

On my car that switch was unwired and I wired it to control the fans (car 522)

Are you carb or injected? If you are carbed, you probably have a mechanical fuel pump and don't require a switch for an electric fuel pump.
If you're injected, it would probably be a good idea to hook it up to your fuel pump lead in case of a rollover.

I am carbed with a elect fuel pump that comes on with the key.

Your chassis series originally had a switch on the dash for a electric fuel pump. Many have been converted to a manual fan switch either by owner or dealer. Wiring should be in place for pump switch if necessary. I have a wiring diagram available covering this and the addition of a relay for the electric fuel pump. Highly recommended due to smaller gauge wiring installed and long wire run. Contact me off-line for information.
