Cabin air inlet screens on front of car.

Has anyone replaced or removed the cabin air inlets grillwork on the front of their car? Looks to have 3 small nuts holding the ductwork on inside the wheel well. Looking to replace the grillwork with a larger mesh to allow more airflow. Does anyone have a photo available of original grillwork under the duct available? I would guess the mesh is just glued on but need to know and if the mesh is flat or bent when installed.
Thanks,
Blas

It's bent and glued.

If you want to replace it just buy a piece of mesh and cut it larger than the opening. Then fold the sides back and glue to the inside of the body.

At least that's what I did to replace mine.

I found some nice SS mesh. But it is interlocked wire. So I need to be careful when I cut it and if I need to bend it. It will come apart I think. Thanks.
