Well, the search was fun and fruitful. I want to thank all owners who put up with my endless questions as well as the ones who took me for a spin or let me drive, those were great for education. This is what I will end up with after money changes hands and the shipper delivers...chassis #834.

Looks nice, it will take a while to wipe the smile off your face after going for a ride

That's a clean looking street 427.
Your neighbors will appreciate your choice with that exhaust.
Congrats and enjoy it.

This one looks awesome in silver! I really prefer the lack of stripes look and under-car exhaust.

Sawdust 01-13-2016 03:45 AM

Looks awesome! Enjoy your new ride :)

Very nice, Be sure to give it the "once over" before doing any serious driving: Rear shock mounts, tire dates, fluids, and nut and bolts. Enjoy.

JBCOBRA 01-13-2016 06:54 AM

Sweet!
I have a rear exhaust car myself. So glad I did my car this way. It is loud but all the sound is behind you. So you can talk in the car while driving. Rattles my neighborhood when I start an drive it and I live in a Big neighborhood.
Rear exhaust is so nice on long drives. I love the clean look too. I am not into labels or falderall of any sort, so I made mine as plain and simple as possible. Virtually as stealth as I could make a crazy car ;-)

Ron61 01-13-2016 07:36 AM

Congratulations. That is a very nice looking Cobra and you are going top have a lot of fun. Just take it easy and be safe until you get used to the car as it won't drive like any other car you have driven.

Ron :)

Thanks everyone! I'm grinning like an idiot just in anticipation :3DSMILE:
First thing I'm going to do is put it up and crawl around underneath and give everything a check and tighten. Then the same in the engine and cockpit. After that will be the Cobra Valley R/T rear shock mounts. We've still got quite a bit of snow and cinders on the road for a good drive so it'll be time well spent.

Stealth Cobra? That sounds like an oxymoron to me!

Me too. I love the clean look. Like a race car de-tuned a little for the street.
Congratulations!

Cheers,
Glen

Just bought the spittin' image of this car. Roadster. Small block with proper Cobra dress up bits. Has the roll bar. Molded in hood scoop. Undercar SS exhaust. No stripes. No badges (yet). Silver (but not for long). Was not looking for one. It just came to me...

I will start a new thread and document the prep and paint. The car is located at a restoration shop almost 100miles away now. I travel in that direction for business every few weeks and will stop in to snap some pix. Probably will not make any progress till Barrett-Jackson is over...

DanMartin 01-21-2016 08:40 AM

Congratulations! That's a great looking car. Enjoy it.
